{"id":14377,"date":"2024-01-24T16:19:26","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T15:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.csiasrl.eu\/senza-categoria\/fines-and-penalties-under-legislative-decree-no-81-2008-15-9-increase\/"},"modified":"2024-01-24T16:19:26","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T15:19:26","slug":"fines-and-penalties-under-legislative-decree-no-81-2008-15-9-increase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.csiasrl.eu\/en\/news\/fines-and-penalties-under-legislative-decree-no-81-2008-15-9-increase\/","title":{"rendered":"FINES AND PENALTIES UNDER LEGISLATIVE DECREE No. 81\/2008: 15.9% INCREASE."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On 10 November 2023, the INL, National Labour Inspectorate, supplementing <strong>note prot. no. 724<\/strong> of 30 October 2023, published <strong>note prot. no. 1201<\/strong>, reporting the summary of offences relating to hygiene, health and safety in the workplace, with an indication of the amounts revalued as a result of <strong>Director\u2019s Decree No. 111 of 20 September 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for the increase in fines and administrative pecuniary penalties is linked, as provided for by Article 306, paragraph 4-bis of Legislative Decree No. 81\/2008, to the intention to adjust penalties to the cost of living, indexing them to the increase in prices (<strong>five-year inflation adjustment<\/strong>). The Directorate-General for Health and Safety in the Workplace of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies has in fact established, after identifying a <strong>15.9%<\/strong> increase in the ISTAT consumer price index for the five-year period 2019-2023, a similar increase for all fines and administrative penalties provided for by Legislative Decree No. 81\/2008.<\/p>\n<p>The revaluation is valid with reference to violations committed from <strong>6 October 2023<\/strong>, the day of publication of Director\u2019s Decree No. 111\/2023 in the Official Gazette.
