Authorisation Obligation for the Use of Hazardous Substances DEADLINE 31 DECEMBER 2024
Please note that operators of plants subject to Single Environmental Authorisation (AUA) pursuant to art. 269 of Legislative Decree no. 152/06 as amended, or of installations subject to Integrated Environmental Authorisation (AIA), which were in operation on the date of entry into force of Legislative Decree 102/2020 (28 August 2020), and in which substances classified as carcinogenic, toxic for reproduction or mutagenic (H340, H350, H360), or substances characterised by high toxicity and cumulative properties, are used, must submit a specific authorisation application no later than 1 January 2025.
The forms required for preparing and submitting applications are available on the Metropolitan City portal.
This documentation, prepared pursuant to art. 3 of Legislative Decree 102/2020 and art. 271, paragraph 7-bis of Legislative Decree 152/06 as amended, specifically regulates the procedures for authorising the use of hazardous substances in production cycles.

Please also note that the final deadline for submitting applications is 31 December 2024.
After this date, it will no longer be possible to regularise one’s position and penalties may be applied for failure to comply with regulatory obligations. It is therefore essential to meet the deadlines and carefully check that the required documentation has been completed correctly.
